My grandparents and my dad's three older brothers pose in front of their home a few years before my dad was born (Bernie Louis Stokes, 1915-2001). The house was located between Boaz and Clever.

From left to right are Elvah Allen Stokes, Benjamin Franklin Stokes, Nancy Louise Pearce Stokes, James Winfred Stokes, and the oldest son - Uriel Bernice Stokes.

James Winfred was born in the house. Elvah and Uriel were probably born in the log house.

The buggy "Grandpa" Calvin Davis used as he traveled around Christian County taking pictures is sitting next to the log house at the right.
